If a doctor treats your cold, it will go away in fourteen days. If you leave it alone, it will go away in two weeks”
I’m in bed with a cold!! gaah! Luckily Disko has been taking very good care of me all afternoon, keeping me warm and happy. It’s almost like he knows I’m ill, and tries to take care of me! I’m hurting in every bone in my body, but don’t really have time to be ill. Not 14 days (or 2 weeks) at least… sigh!
DANSK!
If “Plan A” didn’t work, the alphabet has 25 more letters! Stay cool. “
(In Denmark we even have a few more letters to mess around with)
When we honestly ask ourselves which person in our lives mean the most to us, we often find that it is those who, instead of giving advice, solutions, or cures, have chosen rather to share our pain and touch our wounds with a warm and tender hand. The friend who can be silent with us in a moment of despair or confusion, who can stay with us in an hour of grief and bereavement, who can tolerate not knowing, not curing, not healing and face with us the reality of our powerlessness, that is a friend who cares.”
Just came home from a date with my lodge-sisters. We meet once every month to dinner in the city, and to catch up on what’s been going on. Every other month we eat sushi or the danish dish “stegt flæsk“. This month we had sushi at BENTO in Helgolandsgade. The food was good and the service was spotless – AND they make cocktail with fire!!! Definitely worth a visit.
We usually try to eat at a new venue each time – this way we get to visit a lot of different restaurants all over Copenhagen. We rate the food and the vibe/service each place – so if you’re in need of a great place to eat sushi or stegt flæsk, I’m the right person to ask ;-)
An optimist stays up until midnight to see the New Year. A pessimist stays up to make sure the old year leaves.”
