I’ve only been to Roskilde Festival once before, back in 2003, so it was good to be back! I’ll show you some snaps from the days we were there..
The designers: Me, Mette Marko and Soffi Mbenga
I worked as a designer for H&M at Roskilde, and in return I got my ticket. I worked all Thursday on opening day, and me and two other designers made accessories and t-shirts for the Swap Shop. Festival guest could come and swap their old (and dirty) clothing/accessories to new ones. The overlying theme for the H&M Reboot area was sustainability, and I think it came across pretty well.
Friday we attended the “Taste of Lolland-Falster” lunch at Roskilde. The ever handsome Rødder was cooking, and as always the food was beautiful and tasty! We has three courses, beer and dessert wine for only 110 kroner! This is a must if you attend Roskilde next year – and there are lots of other social dining experiences as well.
Did you attend Roskilde festival this year??
It’s the last day of our vacation and we’re now on our way back to Copenhagen. Disko is traveling with style in his new burgundy coloured carrier bag from Zooplus. The old one couldn’t hold his weight anymore, but this one seems to be perfect for a cat his size :-)
Disko is not all that keen on traveling these long distances, but at least Roquefort (his mouse) is there to keep him company. See you back in the city…
Yesterday I went fishing with my dad, in an near by put’n’take lake. He caught 4 trouts and I, of course, caught nothing!! N o t h i n g !!
..At least I managed to get something on the hook, when my dad went in the water trying to get his hook free from the sea grass.. Would have been more fun, had he been a bigass fish though!
Hola! Sorry for my absence, but I’m busy enjoying the great weather that has hit Denmark (finally). I’m lucky to have one week off right now, so it couldn’t be better… See ya when I get back to Copenhagen – in the meantime follow on Instagram “meanddisko” for pics and updates :-)

Oh May – you did good! Tomorrow I’m starting my PR-internship at Anne Black. I’m über excited – think it’s going to be a great summer!
Then we travelled back from Jutland yesterday Disko made a little tinkle in his transporter. He never does so, and when I saw that the pee was red, I got really worried. This morning I called the vet and made an appointment for Disko. I used the whole night before to research what I might be, and as I assumed he had struvite crystals in his urinary tract. What’s that? You don’t know what struvite crystals are? Well here’s a picture for you:
Imagine squeezing these sucker out when trying to pee!! Auch.. What’s worse is that they might clutter up the urinary tract so that peeing is impossible for the cat. Luckily I noticed in time! Right now he’s a bit groggy due to the sedation he got when the vet had to take a urine sample. She stuck a long, small tube right into his ..hm.. pee-pee. Poor Disko. He’s also going to take some antibiotics and have some special food that breaks down the evil crystals. All this costed me a small fortune, but I’m just happy that he’s going to be fine. It’s all worth it, even when Disko is eating his 150-kroner-a-kilo gourmet cat food, and I’m eating pasta with ketchup.
I’m off to Malmö (Sweden) for the day. I’m going shopping with two of my favourite girls, and maybe there’ll also be time for a bit man hunting as well!? One of them has a thing about Swedish guys. We’re looking for at type like the one on the picture. But more human of course. And with a beard. Adjö!
It’s been a quiet few days here on Me And Disko, but when you’re sick with the stomach flu, blogging isn’t your first priority. Staying close to the bucket beside your bed is though! It took me a couple of days to get over, but I’m still tired and a bit nauseous. Luckily my bf recovered from his stomach flu just in time to take care of me. -The least he could do since I got the damn stomach flu from him.

I’m spending my weekend in Jutland visiting family, and celebrating my granddad’s birthday. We all got on the train yesterday, a five hour trip through Denmark, but at least we caught the direct line and didn’t have to switch trains during. The woman opposite me fell totally in love with Disko, and was surprised that he was so well-behaved and calm. I was very proud of him :) Hopefully he will be as well-behaved when we’re going home tomorrow.
